Jeff Taylor, author of Bigger Than The Widget, and Director of Channel Strategy & Marketing at March Networks, wants companies to be bigger. Not bigger in terms of revenue or profit, but to have bigger, more profound and meaningful relationships with their customers.
Having led sales and marketing organizations for four different companies spanning four different vertical markets, Jeff came to the realization that there is a common element amongst industry leaders. They all have built a community of fanatics that transcend the physical products they make or sell. These communities are loyal and willing to share stories to the peers. Being Bigger than the Widget means that you have these connections and invest time and energy in your customer relationships beyond the traditional 4 P’s of the marketing mix.
In his presentation, Jeff will share his insights on customer relationships using real examples of companies, organizations and individuals that have become bigger. He will challenge how you engage your customers and offer a new way to look at your marketing mix and how you should be investing your marketing dollars. Jeff will share his own story and how he hopes his new book will become bigger than just a book by following the same principles he offers in the book.

Do you remember your first time? The first time you made a real connection…the first time you became so passionate and loyal that you could be described as a fanatic?
How many of your customers are fanatics? Are they connected to you in a way that transcends your product? Will they tell your story? Are you Bigger than the Widget?
To survive and thrive in today’s rapidly changing world you have to be more than your product. You have to connect at an emotional level and build a community of fanatics. Bigger Than The Widget offers examples and ideas on how you can be bigger…and why you must be bigger. Bigger Than The Widget challenges that status quo and will inspire you to consider how you engage and interact with your customer communities.
