Spy Raleigh | 330 West Davie Street | Downtown Raleigh, NC
Tuesday, June 12, 2012 — 6:00 to 9pm
On Tuesday, May 10th, 2011, management of Linkedin Live Raleigh was officially transitioned to James C. Wong and Virginia L. Johnson of Empowered Ideas, a digital marketing and communications firm for small businesses and nonprofits.
While the Linkedin Live Raleigh legacy has continued since 2006, we would like to invite all of our loyal and dedicated participants and volunteers to celebrate with us, as we celebrate our first year as your Linkedin Live Raleigh hosts.
We recognize that without the support and encouragement of our Linkedin Live Raleigh participants, we would not be able to carry on this popular event. Therefore, we’d like to say “thank you” by inviting our participants to “pitch” an idea, business or topic to our audience. The first ten interested speakers to sign up will have 30 seconds to pitch their topic to the audience at the beginning of the event.
However, it will be the audience that decides by voting, which lucky four individuals will speak to the audience for 5 minutes each. This is a hybrid between the “Ignite” events and “Unconferences” where it is the audience that chooses which popular speakers or topics they want to learn more about.
Have you ever gone to a networking event, but didn’t know the WHERE and the WHO to chat with? Maybe you were looking for a job, or even investment opportunities, but just didn’t know who in the room you NEEDED to chat with?
We’re happy to introduce the Linkedin Live Raleigh “Jobs, Education & Opportunities” Board. Interested participants will have the opportunity to write down WHAT they have to offer, and pin it on an actual bulletin board along with their business card — for all of our attendees to review.
